Our Declaration of Faith
We are an Evangelical Church who believes that:
  • The Bible is the inspired Word of God (2nd Timothy 3:16)
  • There is one God revealed in three Persons, namely:  the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1, Matthew 3:16-17)
  • Jesus Christ is God’s only Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.  He was crucified, died, buried and raised from the dead.
  • He ascended to heaven and is today at the God’s right hand praying on our behalf (John 3:16, Matthew 1:18-25, Luke 24:50-53)
  •  All people have sinned and come short of the glory of God , and that repentance is commanded by God and is necessary for the forgiveness of sins (Romans 3:23 and and Acts 3:19)
  • Salvation is received by faith in the blood of Christ (Ephesians 2:8).  We are being made holy through this faith, through the Word, and by the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:1)
  • God expects believers to live a life of holiness (1st Peter 1:16)
  • We believe in the sanctity of marriage as defined by God as between a man and woman based on Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6 and Ephesians 5:22-33
  • We are empowered by and filled with the Holy Spirit subsequent to a clean heart (Ephesians 5:18)
  • We exercise spiritual gifts for the edification of the Body of Christ (1st Corinthians 12:1-11)
  • Water baptism is done by immersion, and all who repent should be baptized in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19)
  • Divine healing is provided for all through the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ (1st Peter 2:24)
  • We are commanded to observe the Lord’s supper or breaking of the bread (Luke 22:7-38)
  • In the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, the bodily resurrection, eternal life with the Lord for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked (Matthew 16:27, Revelation 1:7 and 1st Thessalonians 4:16-17
  • The Great Commission of making disciples has to be faithfully followed by a true church (Matthew 28:16-20)
